New Broader Policy

We are excited to announce some changes to the Philadelphia Insurance Company’s Consulting Foresters Insurance Program.　 Please note that sample coverage forms are available upon request and that the below information is provided as a summary.　 The language and terms of the actual policy supersede any information listed below.

　The revised endorsements broaden coverage for the program:

• Herbicide and Pesticide Coverage is now provided under the General Liability Limits.

• Smoke Damage Liability from a Hostile Fire or Controlled Burn Coverage is now provided under the General Liability Limits.

• Unintended Property Damage from a Controlled Burn Coverage is now provided under the General Liability Limits.

　The revised coverage forms also clarify the Errors and Omissions Coverage Exclusions specific to Forestry.　 Coverage now exists for any negligent act, error or omission, defect or deficiency in any test performed, or evaluation, consultation or advice, by and insured subject to the five exclusions specific to the program:

2. Real Estate sales and acquisition transactions;

3. The Sales, acquisition or purchasing of forest land;

4. The designing, programming or writing of computer software for forestry applications;

5. Tax counseling or tax preparation;

6. 　"Personal and Advertising Injury".

Note the REMOVAL of the two following exclusions from the Specific Forestry Errors and Omissions Coverage part:

• Exclusion for Environmental Impact Studies.

• Exclusion for appraisals and monetary valuations of land and timber.

　Your policy still includes the following benefits:　

• 　　　 No Deductible.　

• 　　　 Defense costs are in addition to the limits of liability purchased.　

• 　　　 Occurrence policy forms and not claims made policy forms.　

• 　　　 No prescribed burn warranties.　

• 　　　 Availability of Hired and Non-Owned Automobile coverage.
